(Oranjestad)—This past Saturday, July 20th, marked a milestone event for the de Vries sibling duo as they celebrated the one-year anniversary of their eyewear brand WOWO Eyewear in the company of friends, family and beloved loyal clients.
Held under colorful, festive décor—and accompanied by exquisite catering from Bodegas Papiamento, the celebratory meeting took place at none other than The Specialists Aruba in Oranjestad; a long-standing and most recognized optometrist clinic on Aruba and home to both WOWO Eyewear as well as the de Vries duo.
Born to an optometrist father and a financial advisor mother who have been running The Specialists since the mid-nineties, the de Vries duo—Marcus and Iris—acquired their entrepreneurial streak from early childhood, from helping around the clinic growing up, to joining trade shows around the US and Europe during their teenage years.
As adults, Marcus followed in his father’s footsteps and became a licensed optician and contact lenses specialist, while Iris found her calling in marketing and communications. After years of living abroad, the siblings reunited in 2020 on the island. Today, they are business partners and experts in the optical industry.
WOWO Eyewear as a brand embodies quality and beauty, blending classic and modern styles, offering a varied collection that all would love.
