Aruba Astro Research Int., the national astronomy association of Aruba, through its president, Mr. Marcos Bislip, officially announces that on tonight March 14, 2025, a celestial event will take place: a Total Lunar Eclipse of Saros 123, also known as the Blood Moon.

This phenomenon occurs when Earth’s deep shadow completely covers the lunar surface (100%) due to a perfect alignment between the Earth, Moon, and Sun. In this alignment, Earth blocks the sunlight that the Moon would normally receive. This event is visible from the part of the Moon facing Earth and from specific regions of the world, while other areas will not witness it.

In this case, our region will see the event on March 14, 2025, while Asia will experience it on September 7, 2025.

If weather conditions cooperate, we will have a successful total eclipse observation.
