Over the past two weeks, the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino celebrated its Team Appreciation Week during the annual Team Member Appreciation Week.
The activities corresponded with the company’s credo, being in the business of people serving people, and continuously investing in Team Members to ensure their ongoing job satisfaction.
What better way than fun interactions in casual, and informal environments?
Activities took off with a Team Members Appreciation Luncheon on June 27th, in the Grand Ballroom, including a magic show. The following day, Team Members embarked on a group hike, from the Balashi Gold mill ruins to the ocean at Spanish Lagoon, for a unique and educational encounter with Nature.
Another successful social activity was bowling, at the Eagle Bowling Palace, with DJ entertainment and prizes for the winning team. The team with the craziest outfits also received a prize.
The most animated and energetic activity of the week was the Saturday Night Soccer Match, where two all-star lineups showed off and challenged their legwork and soccer skills.
The Gratitude Tree was a popular inhouse activity, as Team Members were asked to express their thoughts of appreciation of each other and their work place, by filling a barren tree placed at the Team Member Cafeteria, with leaves, each leaf bearing a written message of appreciation towards other individuals, the property, Hilton, Aruba, or even the universe.
The resort provided blank leaves to each department to be filled out with appreciation and gratitude messages, and added them to the tree over a period of one week. By the end of the week, the tree was full of leaves.
“It’s all about our Team Members,“ says General Manager Vasco Baselli, “they are the reason why the light and warmth of hospitality is shining brighter than ever before.” The time spent in the company of peers, filled with positive gestures and kindness, contributed to an unforgettable series of events to help Team Members grow and flourish.
