Playa Linda Beach Resort, whose commitment to the larger Aruban community has resulted in the support of various, invaluable island non-profits over the years, continues to partner with and promote the international “Pack for a Purpose” (PfaP) cause. Acts of kindness through small individual donations can add up and have a tremendous impact, simply by using extra luggage space to bring in needed supplies that benefit the most vulnerable members of the community in a vacation destination. As we approach the holiday season, Playa Linda is making another appeal to Aruba’s many devoted visitors, encouraging them to bring joy to others through thoughtful donations. 
In Aruba, the partnership between Playa Linda and Pack for a Purpose gets needed supplies to the Animal Relief Foundation (ARF), Casa Cuna (Children’s Home), the Foundation for Our Community (FPNC) and others. At this time of year, FPNC does particularly important work, providing basic needs and helping to feed struggling families. As well as running the island’s only food pantry, FPNC also holds a Christmas event for those who otherwise would be unable to enjoy a holiday gathering. Donations of children’s toys are also being accepted at this time of year.

Once in Aruba, those items can be dropped off at the front desk at the Playa Linda Beach Resort, which will ensure it gets to the designated recipient.
“We listened to our members and guests, and chose foundations which we thought could make the biggest difference,” explains Playa Linda Director of Operations Sulaika Kelly. “For the five years we have partnered with PfaP, we have experienced remarkable kindness and generosity from guests, and we hope to keep that momentum going. By working together, we have been able to express gratitude and give back to the Aruban community in meaningful ways.”
Pack for a Purpose carries the message of “make your travels meaningful” by pairing travelers with the needs of community projects around the world. Since 2010, it has helped hundreds of projects in places in Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean, by focusing in on five general areas: education, health, child welfare, animal welfare, and socioeconomic development.
