ORANJESTAD – On Saturday, April 27th, in celebration of King’s Day, dog rescue foundation, One Love Foundation Inc. held a dog walk to raise awareness about animal well being and at the same time raise funds for a spay and neuter campaign.
The walk and run began on the Linear Park, starting in front of the parking lot of Costa Linda hotel. Dozens of people and dozens of dogs participated in the event, a colorful and joyful display to celebrate King’s Day. Among the dogs participating in the walk, many were rescued and available for adoption, including a sibling of Khaleesi, who became known in Aruba recently due to her unfortunate death.
“We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the participants and sponsors who made our 3rd annual charity dog walk/run such a huge success!” the foundation commented on their Facebook page. “Awareness was raised and many new friends were made, all while raising funds for spay and neuter.”
The foundation thanked their sponsors, primarily Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, which co-hosted the event and matched dollar-for-dollar on donations!
