In these difficult times we would like to reach out to our friends abroad who were supposed to spend their tropical vacation on Aruba or who had to break up their vacation due to the COVID-19 situation. Aruba Today invites you to send us your picture and words expressing your memory of our island or your dream vacation for the future. Now that the border will open again soon we hope to see welcome you again!

Send us your picture(s) together with completing the sentence: Aruba to me is …….. (Email: news@arubatoday.com). Please do note: By submitting photos, text or any other materials, you give permission to The Aruba Today newspaper, Caribbean Speed Printers and any of its affiliated companies to use said materials, as well as names, likeness, etc. for promotional purposes without compensation.

Today we share a wonderful message from:

Dietmar Troche and Jutta Schmidt-Troche: “The first time I came to Aruba in 1996 and I worked on a project at the island´s Water and Electricity production power plant. During this business trip I realized the beauty of Aruba, after my returning at home in Germany I descripted this to wife. In 1997 we came to Aruba for vacation and fell in love with the island. Now we have been visiting Aruba every year and we have very good friends on Aruba. This year as soon as Aruba opens the travel ban we will be visiting Aruba and our friends. The photo shows us at the restaurant Elements, the former Pirate Nest. Best regards from Germany!”

Melissa and Tracy: “As we sit here and wait to see if we will be able to come on 6/27 and enjoy our vacation in Aruba this makes me reflect back on our past visits.  Our visits are usually to come over and celebrate our wedding anniversary and my birthday.  The reflection is a period of peace and happiness we find there. I remember I asked a waiter at the Hyatt why he stayed in Aruba and not traveled and he told me because it is one happy island.  I couldn’t agree more.  I would love to have a home there but certainly appreciate our visits and celebrating our anniversary and birthday there.  Aruba people are so nice and friendly and the island is just a beautiful blue diamond to us.  It gives me peace, happiness and tranquility to reflect on life.”
