Minister Geoffrey Wever recently held a meeting with the Stichting Monumenten Fonds Aruba regarding the renovation project of Cas Veneranda to discuss its progress.
The demolition phase of the project has been successfully completed. This was not an easy process, and some surprises were encountered along the way. Additionally, more was learned about the history and architecture of Cas Veneranda during the demolition. Now, the focus is shifting to the renovation phase.
The next phase involves preparing and submitting contractor bids, after which a contractor will be selected. The tentative start date for construction is planned for September 2.
‘The Cas Veneranda Renovation Project is of utmost importance and a key part of the overall revitalization of Oranjestad. We are working hard to preserve its historical value and continue revitalizing the center of Oranjestad,’ stated Minister Wever.
