(Oranjestad)—For this year’s Earth Day holiday, Barcelo organized a cleanup between Barcelo Managers and Barcelo guests. Management was lead by Aurelia Croes and Jane Braafhart. The guests that participated were members of the I Love Barcelo Aruba facebook group page.
The cleanup began at 8:00 am and finished around 11:00 am behind Barcelo and was represented by managers Aurelia Croes, Sandra Steba, Kathleen Green and HR Director Jane Braafhart, as well as other employees from various departments throughout the Resort.
The Guests that participated were members of a Facebook group page I Love Barcelo Aruba Group, with moderator Ricky Grosser assisting in the cleanup. Early in the morning, the participants were ready to assist with raking, bagging and disposing multiple bags of various papers, cups buried under the sand, all for an important cause to preserve out nature. Staff and Barcelo guests cleaned the entire beach front of the Barcelo Beach, raking a collecting waste in the area.
Barcelo think it’s important to keep raising awareness for the protection of Mother Nature. Hopefully through events like beach cleanups, they hope to inspire their guests and other to keep fighting for the well-being of our environment, not just on Earth Day.
