For today we received a lovely message from Beth Ellyn Rosenthal from Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
She wrote to us saying: “Aruba to me is … family. I have three delicious weeks to spend with my grown son Austin. He lives in Austin. I live in Las Vegas. We are both ridiculously busy. But we carve out three weeks every fall to spend time with each other in Aruba. We call this our “Caribbean staycation” since we have been coming to our unit at the Caribbean Palm Village every year since 1980 (except for 2020.)
After three decades we have friends on the island we always visit. And we coordinate dates with Dutch friends we met at Moomba Beach. Austin has even visited them in the Netherlands.
But for me it’s the time I get to spend with my grown son. Las Vegas doesn’t tempt him. But he will spend time with Mama in Aruba.”
