PALM BEACH – The island of Aruba was handpicked by the Sports Illustrated (SI) team for the 55th edition of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit – for its exotic, secluded Caribbean location and euphoric seascape.
The SI team scoured the globe looking for the most coveted Caribbean island to showcase, and crowned Aruba the sovereign destination of the publication. Other Caribbean destinations featured in the shoot are Bahamas, Belize and Nevis.
The illustrious issue was revealed on Tuesday and reveals the breathtaking island within its pages. The highly acclaimed editorial includes a sizzling lineup of global supermodels and world champions, including Kate Upton, Aly Raisman, Alexis Ren, Sailor Brinkley (daughter of former SI model, Christie Brinkley), Paige Spiranac and many more.

With an A-list lineup slated for the spotlight in this year’s issue, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2018 showcases renowned supermodels and social influencers – Sailor Brinkley Cook, Alexis Ren, Myla Dalbesio, Raven Lyn, Georgia Gibbs and Kate Wasley, as well as Olympic medalists and world champions – Brenna Huckaby, three-time Olympic gold medalist, Aly Raisman, Paige Spiranac, Genie Bouchard, and Sloane Stephens, 2017 US Open Tennis Champion and Australian Open Semi-Finalist, in Aruba.
