Yesterday, Aruba celebrated its national day, March 18th—Hymn and Flag Day. As is tradition, the people of Aruba went out and enjoyed various activities across the island, where they could experience dance performances, eat local cuisine, and celebrate Aruba in general.
Since Sunday, March 17th, Aruba has been enjoying cultural celebrations. As customary, on Sunday night, the cultural manifestation took place at Plaza Betico Croes.
That night, Plaza Betico Croes came alive with a cultural atmosphere. There were different stands offering local food, sweets, arts, crafts, and much more. Of course, the people enjoyed an unforgettable musical and dance show.
The morning of March 18th began with the official cultural ceremony in front of Plaza Betico Croes, attended by the Governor of Aruba, Alfonso Boekhoudt, along with other island officials.
Various social, cultural, and sports groups, along with different organizations, participated in an official parade, presenting themselves before the Governor and other leaders.
To continue the celebrations, people could enjoy activities across the island, including events at Club Caiquetio, Aruba Aloe, Cas di Cultura, the National Library of Aruba, the Archaeological Museum, Centro Hubenil Washington, and many other locations.
