For today we received a lovely message from Susan Shrott and William H. Smith fom New Jersey, USA.

Susan wrote to us saying: “Aruba to me is love, family, and home. My husband and I were married in Aruba and were delighted to celebrate our tenth anniversary last week with our Aruba family of friends at Water’s Edge, the site of our original wedding reception. Most of the people who were in attendance at our wedding ten years ago, along with some new friends and relatives, were here to share our joy.

I have been coming to Aruba for more than 30 years, while my husband has joined me here for 21 years, so Aruba—specifically Costa Linda—is what we consider home. We have been blessed to meet people from all over the world, and have nurtured long-lasting friendships, which are very dear to us. Every year we look forward to our “family reunions” so we can catch up in person, instead of via phone or FaceTime.

There is nothing better than being greeted with a heartfelt “Welcome Home!” when we arrive at Costa Linda each year because we consider the staff as part of our extended family, as well. This is definitely paradise at our home away from home.

We love Aruba’s people, shops, restaurants, history, beaches, and landscape. There is no other place for us than this happy island.”

Thank you for sending us this wonderful message sharing what Aruba means to you with us and our readers!
