Universal Children’s Day is important. Why? Because today is the day you look at your child and be aware of all other children in the world and their life. This day you give more importance to the rights of each child and the blessing this young person is. United Nations established Universal Children’s Day in 1954 to improve children’s welfare, promote togetherness and create awareness worldwide.
Children and young people are raising their voices on the issues that matter to their generation and calling for adults to create a better future. As the world recovers from the pandemic, it’s more important than ever that we listen to them. It’s time for generations to come together to reimagine the type of world we want to create. Today, your kids will reimagine a better world. What will you do?
Children are entitled to have rights and therefore November 20th is an important date. It is the date in 1959 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. It is also the date in 1989 when the UN General assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Happy Children’s Day
