In this day and age of modern tech devices, internet, technological advances in almost all fields, one tends to experience some type of stress within themselves. Stress has always been predominant in people’s lives for ages, but in this age it seems to be experienced in a more expanded way, as if it has been blown up like a balloon and there seems to be no end. Peoples demands, need to meet deadlines, etc., is more prevalent these days and most people tend to accept these as normal and thus continue to live their lives especially with their mobile devices accompanying them everywhere they go so that their work and family is with them at all times.
Although this has its good aspects, they also can trigger an underlying sense of anxiousness at varying times during our daily life. Unaware of the effects this sense of anxiousness or stress may hold on the body, we continue going on our normal daily lives with a total acceptance that if this seems normal for others, it is socially accepted as normal, then one automatically accepts this unpleasantness as normal. Sometimes we may say that if we do not stress, we may not be striving to move forward in life.
Innocently or unaware of what the body is going through daily, the body may be picking up the tab for all that we may be accepting as normal and in due time the body shall show signs of having enough of this and rebels back in a form of an illness or disease. If we do not live with ease, we shall experience some sort of dis-ease or unease eventually. What may seems to be socially acceptable to most of us is unacceptable to the body. We try and cover up lots of these unease with a strict diet regiment or exercise and the like, this may do some good, yet if we continue doing the same harm to the body then what good does the diet and exercise do when there is no sense of an underlying inner peace that is not prevalent within.
Connecting with nature, as we are also an intrinsic part of nature, helps a lot. Moments of
silence during the day through many forms of mini meditations is very essential in our sense of wellbeing. We can integrate some forms of meditation through any activity that we may be
doing, inner body awareness, silence awareness, breath awareness, and the like are a few of
the ways we can slow down the continuous mental movement and thus inner peace can be
experienced even for some moments during the day. As we continue on this way of living,
silence grows within us and becomes a part of who we are and peace becomes a normal state of being that we experience at every waking moment.
Suresh Mirchumal is a spiritual writer. “Well, you can categorize it like that, although I don’t call myself one. These thoughts come in effortlessly.” His aim is in a way to reach out to whoever gets inspired or has an eye opening event within them that may transcend their current state of consciousness. “Or let’s say current emotional state too. If one in a thousand benefits, that is already great.” Due to the current world state, lots of struggles and stresses, we seem to lose touch with that inner peace that we long for, Suresh explains. “I wish to ease that through these small articles or tidbits.” You will find his tidbits in Aruba Today from now on, like a sunray of the day. If you wish to make use of Suresh his services like meditation or just a talk, please email to: Thedimensionofsilence@gmail.com.
