For the 12th time the 28-year old Aruban Sarah-Quita Offringa wins the PWA Freestyle World Championship that took place last week on the Spanish island Fuerteventura.

She has won 16 world titles in total and 10 consecutive freestyle titles. Women finals day at the 2019 Fuerteventura PWA World Cup saw an explosive end to proceedings as the top 4 women left standing in the Freestyle Double Eliminations went all out in the pursuit of victory. In the women’s fleet, it was the usual suspects who prevailed and Offringa (Starboard / NeilPryde / Maui Ultra Fins) reinforced her title as the Queen of Freestyle by claiming an incredible 12th Freestyle World crown. Offringa started windsurfing at three years old, then stopped windsurfing for a while and started again at the age of nine. Her first competition was the Bonaire regatta 2001 and she started freestyling at 10 years old. Her ambitions: Represent Aruba and make people more enthusiastic about windsurfing. Source: PWA.q
