According to the weekly update published by the Public Health Department, also known as DVG, about the development of the Covid pandemic here on Aruba, in the recent week up until Friday about 138 new cases of Covid were registered.
DVG informed as well that 141 people recovered from the virus.
The amount of active cases of Covid-19 as of Friday was 84. The amount of deaths related to or because of Covid-19 is currently at 212.
Data from DVG illustrates that new Covid cases have a weekly average of 20 new cases per day, along with a positivity rate average of 33% per day.
In Aruba, there are 2 people hospitalized, either with or because of Covid. Of the people hospitalized, none are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) meaning that both are in general floor. However in Colombia there are 2 patients from Aruba hospitalized in ICU, and one more patient in general floor together making a total of 3 patients hospitalized in Colombia because of or with Covid.
